World Refugee Day

On June 14, 2014 RPCVs volunteered to help run games at the Bullock Texas State History Museum’s celebration of World Refugee Day. Games included the “Refugee Experience” station, which had participants assigned to a refugee country, after which they learned about their situation, life in transit camps as well as their experience once they arrived in the US. The day also included an actual naturalization ceremony, international music performances, a photo booth, arts & crafts and great food.
