Join us on March 2 from 9:00am-12:00pm for HoTPCA’s big spring volunteer partnership event, It’s My Park Day, at Odom Elementary School Park in south Austin! At this Austin Parks Foundation community-led day of service, we’ll be partnering up with the Odom community to put in a butterfly garden in their courtyard, reset a garden that was disrupted by construction, beautify the front of the school, and clean up their existing garden beds for spring planting. If time and budget allow, we may also help create an outdoor classroom in their courtyard.
Important! Click here to officially register for this event. One registration form per person is required by Austin Parks Foundation. Kids, family, and friends are welcome, just be sure to fill out the registration form for each individual attending. Bonus: All registered attendees get a free, awesome It’s My Park Day t-shirt! Last year they also put out a list of restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries giving out freebies by showing your t-shirt. Bring water, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Tools will be provided, but you may bring gloves & gardening tools if you have them on hand.
